Private by design: your PDF stays on your device
Most online editors upload your file to their servers to process it. PDF Editor Hub works the other way round: the editor downloads to your browser and your PDF is opened, edited and saved on your own computer or phone. That matters for tax forms, contracts, IDs and anything with personal details.
When you want to lock a file, the editor encrypts it with AES-256, the strongest standard PDF encryption. Keep the password safe: nobody, including us, can recover it.
Edit PDFs in your language
Type and edit in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Turkish and other Latin-script languages, plus Greek and Russian, out of the box. Add a free language pack for Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Hebrew, Hindi, Marathi, Nepali, Thai, Tamil, Chinese, Japanese or Korean, and your text is saved as real, searchable text with the letters joined correctly. Packs download once and stay in your browser.
Made for the PDFs people actually need to fill
Questions people ask
Is PDF Editor Hub really free?
Yes. Editing, filling, signing, protecting and downloading are free. There is no signup, no watermark and no trial that turns into a subscription. We never ask for a card.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The editor runs in your browser and your PDF is processed on your own device. Only the editor itself, fonts and optional language packs are downloaded to you.
Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?
Yes. Choose Edit & move text, click a line and type. The editor keeps the original font when the letters you type are in it, and uses a close match when they are not. You can also drag text to move it or delete it.
How do I fill out a PDF form?
Open the PDF and click into the fields to type, tick boxes or choose options. If the form has no fields, use Text, Tick and Date to write anywhere on the page, then download.
How do I sign a PDF online?
Click Sign, draw your signature or type your name in a handwriting font, then click where it should go. You can move and resize it before you download.
Does it work with Arabic, Chinese or Hindi PDFs?
Yes. Greek and Russian work out of the box. For Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Hebrew, Hindi, Thai, Tamil, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, install the free language pack from Languages to keep your text as real, searchable text.
Can I password-protect or unlock a PDF?
Yes. Protect adds AES-256 encryption with a password to open and optional blocks on editing, copying or printing. PDFs that are locked against editing open automatically, and PDFs with an open password ask for it.
Does it work on my phone or Mac?
It runs in modern browsers on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android. There is nothing to install.
Is there a file size or page limit?
There is no set limit. Large files depend on your device's memory. A 240-page PDF opens in under a second on a normal laptop.
Is this an official government site?
No. PDF Editor Hub is an independent tool and is not affiliated with any government agency. Download official forms from the official website and check you have the latest version.
